Discord Server Subscriptions let your community pay for exclusive access, roles, and channels โ directly through Discord.
Eligibility Requirements
- Your server must be a Community Server
- You must have a valid payment method set up
- Account must be in good standing (no recent ToS violations)
- Available in select countries (check Discord's current availability list)
Setting Up Subscriptions
- Go to Server Settings โ Monetization
- Click Enable Server Subscriptions
- Complete the payout setup (Discord uses Stripe)
- Create your subscription tiers
Creating Subscription Tiers
You can have up to 3 tiers with different price points and perks:

Avoid:
- Paywalling content that should be free to all members
- Overpromising perks you can't deliver
Revenue Split
Discord takes 10% of subscription revenue. You receive 90% through Stripe payouts.
Promoting Your Subscriptions
- Create a
#subscribechannel explaining the tiers - Mention it in your server description on Discords.ai
- Thank subscribers publicly (with their permission)
- Run limited-time discounts for new subscribers
