What Is Genshin Impact Version 5.8?

Version 5.8 was built around a summer vacation theme in Natlan. Its central setting was the Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a new area that became part of the permanent game world, while Sunspray Summer Resort served as the version’s limited time flagship event. HoYoLAB

Phase 1 Banners

The first half of Version 5.8 ran from July 30 to August 19, 2025.

The two featured 5 star characters were:

Ineffa's Debut

Ineffa is a 5 star Electro polearm character and was the major new playable addition in Version 5.8.

Her combat design introduced the Lunar Charged reaction system associated with her kit. Ineffa can also deploy her mechanical companion, Birgitta, which assists her during combat and interacts with the effects generated by Lunar Charged reactions. Gematsu

Citlali Rerun

Citlali returned during Phase 1 alongside Ineffa.

Sunspray Summer Resort

The flagship event was the centerpiece of Version 5.8.

With Flying, Graffiti Colors

Players used the abilities of the Ashas to paint objects within different environments and complete challenges while aiming for higher scores.

Travels Are Fuller With Friends

This mode focused on cooperation between the Traveler and their Saurian companions. Players had to use their abilities together while collecting objectives and reaching destinations.

Strikers Through the Storm

This activity introduced a shooting focused challenge where players used a special device to target enemies and complete individual stages.

A Feast for the Senses
