How to Set Up Discord Community Mode
Discord Community mode unlocks powerful features for growing and managing your server. Here's how to enable it.
What Community Mode Unlocks
- Server Insights โ Analytics dashboard with member growth data
- Discord Onboarding โ Guided new member flow
- Stage Channels โ One-to-many audio broadcasts
- Discord Discovery โ Your server appears in Discord's discovery browser (if eligible)
- Welcome Screen โ Custom welcome message before joining

- Server Subscriptions โ Monetisation feature
Requirements for Community Mode
- Server must be at least 10 minutes old
- You must have two factor authentication (2FA) enabled on your account
- The server must have a
#rulesor guidelines channel - Must have a
#community-updatesor announcements channel
Enabling Community Mode
- Go to Server Settings โ Community
- Click Get Started or Enable Community
- Set up the required channels:

- Enable the safety features Discord requires:
- Click Finish Setup
After Enabling
- Configure Discord Onboarding (Server Settings โ Onboarding)
- Set up Server Insights (available after 500 members)
- Review Safety Setup for additional recommendations
- Consider applying for Discord Discovery when eligible (100+ members, active, safe)

- Minimum 200 members
- Active server (regular messages)
- No NSFW content
- Safe for all ages
