The Ultimate Guide to GTA 6 Physical Editions
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, but physical collectors are in for a surprise. Rockstar isn't shipping the game on a disc, and its premium collector's box doesn't include a copy of the game.
Here's everything you need to know about GTA 6's physical options.
The Editions
- Standard Edition: $79.99
- Ultimate Edition: $100, adds digital content only, with no steelbook or physical extras
- Boxed copies: Contain a download code instead of a disc and arrive on November 12, a week early, so players can preload

The $400 Collector's Box
Officially called The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection, the box costs $399.99 (£349.99) and ships on November 19. It's themed around Macca the Gator, a fictional TV show set in the game's world.
Inside are 11 items:
- Macca the Gator figure with a stash compartment
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses
- New Era 9FORTY snapback
- Magnetic mirror, swizzle spoon and razor blade keychain
- Leonida Keys crossbody bag
- Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- Enamel pin set in a metal tin
- Stickers in a stash bag
- Double-sided poster with a Leonida map
💡 Note: The collector's box does not include GTA 6, either physically or digitally. The game must be purchased separately.
The Missing Map
Rockstar has traditionally included paper maps with standard copies of GTA and Red Dead games. So far, the only confirmed Leonida map is inside the $400 box. Rockstar hasn't said whether standard copies will include one.
The Digital-Only Trend
GTA 6 follows a wider industry shift toward code-in-box releases. Gameless collector's boxes aren't new either: Red Dead Redemption 2's cost $100. By comparison, Sony's recent collector's editions cost $230 to $250 and included a digital copy of the game.
Why It Matters
For disc collectors, GTA 6 marks a major turning point. The biggest launch in years is also Rockstar's first mainline GTA without a disc, which could push other publishers in the same direction.
