How to Use Dyno Bot for Discord Moderation

Dyno is one of the most capable and reliable Discord moderation bots. Here's how to configure it properly.

Initial Setup

Invite Dyno from dyno.gg
Authorise the permissions it requests
Go to the Dyno Dashboard (dyno.gg/manage)
Select your server
Make sure Dyno's role is above the roles it needs to manage

Automod Configuration

Go to Dashboard → Automod:

Anti-Spam — Blocks members who send too many messages too fast
Anti-Mention — Blocks @everyone or mass mention attempts
Anti-Invite — Deletes Discord invite links (whitelist your own)
Anti-Caps — Removes messages that are mostly capitalised
Anti-Duplicate — Removes the same message posted repeatedly
Bad Words — Blocks specific words or phrases (customise your list)
Bad Links — Blocks known malicious link patterns

Recommended actions: Delete the message + warn the member. For severe violations, auto-mute or auto-ban.

Set separate channels for: mod actions, message logs, member joins/leaves

Create ?faq to answer common questions automatically
