1. What Is the Discord Orbs Badge?

The Discord Orbs Badge is a profile badge associated with Discord's Orbs rewards system. Orbs can be earned through eligible Discord Quests and challenges, then redeemed for selected rewards.

The badge gives users a way to display their participation in this rewards system through their Discord profile.

Discord's official Profile Badges guide explains how profile badges work and documents the restriction that applies to the Orbs Badge.

2. How Do You Claim the Discord Orbs Badge?

The badge is connected to Discord's Orbs redemption system. Available rewards and eligibility may vary depending on what Discord offers to your account.

Steps to follow

1. Open Discord and check the available Quests or challenges.

2. Complete eligible activities to earn Orbs.

3. Open the relevant Orbs rewards or Shop interface.

4. Find the Orbs Badge if it is available.

5. Review the reward details carefully before confirming your purchase.

💡 EDITOR'S NOTE

Do not spend your Orbs without checking the reward details. The badge's removal limitation makes this a decision worth considering before you confirm.

For more information, consult the official Discord Orbs FAQ and Shop FAQ.

3. Is the Discord Orbs Badge Permanent?

Yes. Once purchased with Orbs, the badge cannot be removed.

Discord explicitly confirms this restriction in its official Profile Badges documentation. This means you should treat the purchase as a permanent profile choice rather than a temporary cosmetic that you can switch off later.

The key distinction is that the badge's permanence is an officially documented limitation, not merely a community rumour.

4. Can You Hide or Remove the Badge Later?

Currently, Discord's official documentation states that the Orbs Badge cannot be removed once purchased with Orbs.

Do not assume that changing profile settings, switching other badges, or customizing your profile will remove it. Discord's documentation does not provide a supported removal method for this badge.

If Discord changes the feature in the future, check the latest Profile Badges documentation for updated instructions.

5. What Should You Know Before Spending Orbs?

Before claiming the badge, keep these points in mind:

1. Check permanence: The badge cannot currently be removed after purchase with Orbs.

2. Review available rewards: Make sure the badge is the reward you actually want.

3. Understand the purchase terms: Discord's Paid Services Terms provide additional information about paid services and applicable purchase conditions.

4. Avoid assumptions: Do not expect a future setting or profile update to provide a removal option.

🧠 EDITOR'S NOTE

The safest approach is to claim the badge only if you are comfortable keeping it on your profile. Do not purchase it solely to test how it looks if you expect to remove it later.
