Discord Integrations: Connect Your Server to Other Platforms
Discord integrations let you connect your server to the platforms where your community already exists.
Twitch Integration
Automatic "[Streamer] is live!" pings when connected streamers go live:
- Server Settings โ Integrations โ Twitch
- Add the Twitch channel(s) to monitor
- Set which Discord channel to post in
- Optionally: set a role to ping and which role to auto-give to subscribers
Subscriber sync: Give Twitch subscribers an automatic Discord role โ great for building a premium tier.
YouTube Integration
Post notifications when a linked YouTube channel uploads:
- Server Settings โ Integrations โ YouTube
- Link the YouTube channel
- Set the notification Discord channel
- Members subscribed to that role get pinged on upload
GitHub Integration
For developer communities:
- Server Settings โ Integrations โ GitHub
- Install the GitHub Discord app
- Connect your repository or organisation
- Choose which events to post: commits, pull requests, issues, releases
Patreon Integration
Sync Patreon tiers to Discord roles:
- Connect via Patreon's Discord integration (in Patreon dashboard)
- Map each Patreon tier to a Discord role
- Patrons automatically get their role when they connect Discord to Patreon
Webhooks for Custom Integrations
For anything not covered above:
- Server Settings โ Integrations โ Webhooks
- Create Webhook
- Choose the channel to post in
- Copy the webhook URL
- Use it in any service that supports webhooks (Zapier, Make, IFTTT, custom code)
