How to Set Up Game Streaming on Discord
Discord's built-in streaming features let you share your gameplay directly with your community โ no third-party service needed for casual streams.
Discord Go Live (Screen Share to Voice Channel)
Go Live lets you stream your game to anyone in a voice channel:
- Join a voice channel in your server
- Click the screen icon at the bottom of the screen
- Choose Application (your game) or Screen (full display)
- Select stream quality (720p30 free; 1080p60 with Nitro)
- Click Go Live
Viewers click the stream preview in the voice channel to watch.
Limitations: Maximum 50 viewers per Go Live stream.
Setting Up a Dedicated Stream Channel
Create a voice channel specifically for streaming:
- Name it

- Create an optional text channel

Screen Share for Group Gaming
