What to Include in a Welcome Channel

Essential elements:

Greeting - Warm, friendly introduction to the community
What you are - 2-3 sentences explaining the server's purpose
Next steps - Clear, numbered actions for new members
Key channel links - Point to rules, roles, and the most important channels
Invite link - Make it easy to share

Optional:

Server icon/logo as an image
Staff team introduction
Community values or mission statement

Add a bot auto-welcome for every new member:

Dashboard → Welcomer
Set the welcome channel
Write the message using {user} for the member mention
Optionally include their avatar with the embed builder

What to Avoid

Walls of text - nobody reads them
Too many required steps before they can chat
Outdated information (check monthly)
Aggressive "read the rules or get banned" tone
