โ๏ธ The Deep North: Final Biome
The Deep North is Valheim's eighth and final planned biome. It sits at the northernmost edge of every world, behind a glacier wall.
The Deep North features a frozen landscape that grows more dangerous the deeper players explore, introducing new enemy types including Gammeltrolls and Elakingar, alongside underground dungeons, abandoned villages, and decrepit castles.

๐น Endgame Boss Mechanics
Valheim's boss progression currently runs seven bosses deep, each tied to a specific biome.
| # | Boss | Biome | Summon Item |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Eikthyr | Meadows | 2x Deer Trophy |
| 2 | The Elder | Black Forest | 3x Ancient Seed |

Fader: The Current Final Boss
Fader currently caps off the boss progression, guarding the Ashlands biome.
- Combines melee, ranged, and magic attacks
- Uses a Fissure attack below 35% health that can't be blocked or dodged
- Summons meteors similar to Yagluth's attack pattern
- Spawns adds more aggressively as its health drops, discouraging slow, cautious play
The Deep North's Boss: Still Secret
Iron Gate has kept the Deep North's final boss under wraps. The only confirmed detail comes from art director Robin Eyre, who has stated it is not Loki, despite long standing community speculation.
