Scam Detection Expands
Google is expanding Scam Detection beyond its previous availability.
On supported Pixel devices, Scam Detection can analyze suspicious incoming chat notifications and display a “Likely scam” warning. The September update expands notification based Scam Detection to nine additional countries, including India, Canada, Australia, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom. A second layer is arriving through Gboard in the United States. When users begin typing a response to a suspicious message, Gboard can display a warning before the message is sent.

Eligible users also receive a two month Audible trial, with regional availability applying to markets including India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and Australia.
