The current Act began on June 24, 2026, and the official VALORANT Wiki lists August 19 as its ending date. Meanwhile, Shacknews is reporting August 17 as the expected Act 5 start based on the Battle Pass countdown, while noting that maintenance could push the transition later.
So, when exactly should players expect Act 5?

The best current estimate is August 17, 2026.
Shacknews reports that Act 5 is scheduled to begin on August 17 based on the Act 4 Battle Pass timer. However, the exact launch time has not been publicly locked in by Riot, and server maintenance could affect when the new Act becomes playable.
The official VALORANT Wiki currently lists Act 4 as running from:
June 24 → August 19, 2026.
That means players should treat August 17–19 as the current rollover window rather than assuming a guaranteed launch hour.
The safest expectation:
Act 5 arrives in mid-to-late August, with August 17 currently the leading expected date.
🎟️ A New Battle Pass Is Coming
One thing players can reasonably expect from the Act rollover is a new Battle Pass.
Every new Act brings a fresh collection of unlockable cosmetics, including items such as:
