Sega has announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour, its long-teased franchise revival that's now coming in 2027.

Fully revealed via a trailer shown today during the Xbox Showcase, this new Crazy Taxi title is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S.

Originally announced back in late 2023, Sega has big ambitions for the Crazy Taxi reboot — and has previously described it as an open-world, massively multiplayer AAA game. It also has All I Want from The Offspring on its soundtrack, which is pretty banging.

Original Crazy Taxi creator Kenji Kanno is back working on the game, which will feature five cities from across the globe, online multiplayer modes, a classic arcade mode recreating the original games, and a story-driven campaign.

Sega also has new games in the Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage franchises in development, too.
