Halloween or Christmas? On Discord, you might not have to choose. Discord has confirmed that a Nightmare Before Christmas collection is coming to the Discord Shop, which should mean avatar decorations and profile effects themed around Tim Burton's holiday classic.
The catch: Discord hasn't shared a date, item names, prices or a single piece of artwork yet. All we have is one line in its Halloween announcement.
That line still tells us quite a lot, especially when you look at how the Dead by Daylight collection announced alongside it played out. Below is everything confirmed so far, plus our best read on timing and price.
At a glance - Confirmed: a Nightmare Before Christmas collection is coming to the Discord Shop - Announced: 1 October 2026, in Discord's Halloween 2026 blog post - Release date: not announced - Items and artwork: not revealed yet - Likely price: recent partner collections cost $8.99 per item, or $6.99 with Nitro - Orbs: partner collections can't usually be bought with Orbs - Last updated: 18 October 2026. We'll update this post the day the collection drops
🎃 What Discord Has Confirmed
In its Halloween 2026 post on 1 October, Discord wrote:
"More frightening friends are hitting the Shop soon, including Dead by Daylight and Nightmare Before Christmas collections."
That's the whole announcement. There's no launch date, no list of items, and no preview images. Shop tracker Dripcord lists it as an officially announced collection with "no release date or artwork published yet."

📅 When Will the Nightmare Before Christmas Collection Drop?
Discord hasn't said. Here's what the evidence suggests, and it's worth stressing that this is our reading, not a confirmed date.
The Dead by Daylight clue. Dead by Daylight was announced in the same sentence, and it arrived in the Shop on 14 October, about two weeks later. If Discord follows the same pattern, Nightmare Before Christmas could land before Halloween on 31 October.
The Christmas clue. The film belongs to both holidays. Discord could just as easily hold it for a December winter event, when a Christmas-themed collection would make even more sense.
Our best guess is late October or early-to-mid December. Bookmark this post and we'll update it on launch day.
🎁 What Could Be in the Collection?
No items have been revealed, so don't trust anyone claiming to have a full list. What we can say is how Discord's partner collections usually work.
The Dead by Daylight set, for example, included three kinds of item:
| Item type | What it does |
|---|---|
| Avatar decorations | An animated frame around your profile picture |
| Profile effects | An animation that plays when someone opens your profile |
| Nameplates | A themed background behind your name in member lists |

A Nightmare Before Christmas set will probably follow the same mix, likely sold as single items and bundles. Our Dead by Daylight Discord decorations guide shows how that collection was laid out.
💰 How Much Will It Cost?
Prices aren't announced. For a rough idea, here's what the Dead by Daylight collection cost, according to Shop trackers:
| Item | Price | With Nitro |
|---|---|---|
| Single item | $8.99 | $6.99 |
| Bundles | $23.99 to $30.99 | Varies |
A Disney collaboration could be priced differently, so treat these as a guide only. Prices can also vary by region.
Can you use Orbs? Probably not. Discord's Shop FAQ lists partner-branded collaborations among the items you can't buy with Orbs. Our guide to getting Nitro with Orbs covers what Orbs can buy instead.
🛍️ How to Be Ready When It Drops
- Check the Shop in Discord's left-hand menu on desktop, or the Shop menu on mobile.
- Think about Nitro if you plan to buy several items, since Nitro members get a discount on Shop prices.
- Plan gifts. Every Shop item can be sent as a gift, which makes a Christmas-themed collection an easy present.
- Ignore "early access" links. No one can sell you the collection before Discord releases it. Our post on spotting fake giveaways covers the scams that pop up around new drops.
While you wait, Discord's own Cauldron Chaos Halloween collection is in the Shop now.
