The story of Peter Pan has taken many forms across many different media. But in recent years, one of the most memorable takes on the Peter Pan mythos has come in the form of Neverlanders, a YA graphic novel from Injustice: Gods Among Us writer Tom Taylor and TMNT Adventures artist Jon Sommariva. The first volume was a big hit, and the sequel is fast approaching.
IGN can exclusively debut a new preview of Neverlanders: Get Lost. Check it out in the slideshow gallery below:
Here's the official summary for Neverlanders: Get Lost:
In book one of NEVERLANDERS, teenagers Bee, Justin and their found family of runaways were whisked away by the last Living Lost Boy to save Neverland. Arriving on the magical island, our heroes discovered its champion, Peter Pan, had fallen and this paradise was under threat of destruction by selfish adults from ‘Otherland’. Gaining incredible abilities from super-suits powered by happy thoughts, the all-new Lost Ones joined with General Tinkerbell and her warrior fairies to save their new home.
In NEVERLANDERS: GET LOST, all that’s left to do for Bee, Justin and the Lost Ones is relax and enjoy their new paradise…or is it? When a mysterious rot is discovered at the edge of the island, the Lost Ones face a horrifying new reality: The magic tree, source of Neverland’s power, is dying. Desperate to save the only real home they’ve ever known, the crew must team up with an old friend of Neverland -- a tatted-up Wendy Darling who is equal parts Lara Croft and Robin Hood -- and set sail on a daring new quest for a cure. And they’ll have to find it quickly, because with every second they’re away, they run the risk of growing up too much to ever return. With their hard-fought new life on the line, this gang of perpetual youths might need more than faith, trust, and pixie dust to survive.
Neverlanders: Get Lost is published by Putnam Books, a division of Penguin Random House. The book will be released on August 11, 2026. You can order Neverlanders Vol. 1 and preorder Neverlanders: Get Lost on Amazon.
The original Neverlanders became the first graphic novel to win the prestigious Book of the Year award from the Children’s Book Council of Australia. The series is currently being adapted into a feature film, with Taylor penning the script.
