The summertime gaming presentations are finally winding down, and boy was there a lot to take in. Alongside some incredibly exciting announcements of new games in the works (God of War Laufey! Resident Evil: Veronica!), quite a few games got solid release dates for the months ahead. And even better, there's plenty available to preorder right now.
If you're itching to get your hands on some of these upcoming releases, we're here to help make searching for them just a little bit easier. We've done our best to gather up every preorder that dropped over these summer presentations from the likes of PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo.
There's quite a lot to check out, but we've highlighted some of our favorite picks immediately below for you to have a look through. These picks also have bigger preorder guides that you can check out, so you can get a full breakdown of which editions are available for them. Further down, you can see even more games available to preorder now. What a start to summer!
Preorder Marvel’s Wolverine
Marvel's Wolverine was one of the big highlights out of PlayStation's State of Play this June, and personally, I'm incredibly excited to get my hands on it. The trailer shown off during the State of Play, which you can see below, gave us a better look at the gameplay in action, which looks like a gory good time.
Releasing on September 15 exclusively on PlayStation 5, it's now available to preorder from a wide variety of retailers. Have a look at our Marvel's Wolverine preorder guide for more details on which editions are available to preorder.
Preorder Control Resonant
I'm a huge Remedy fan, so Control Resonant is one game at the top of my list this fall. Its release date was announced during State of Play - which, unfortunately, lands in a big pile-up of games in September - but nonetheless, I can't wait to jump into its wild world. Below, you can get a look at the trailer that played during the presentation.
Out on September 24 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, it's now available to preorder at select retailers and comes with quite a few different editions. Check out our preorder guide for Control Resonant to learn more about what's available and how much they cost.
Preorder Fable
The Xbox Games Showcase delivered exciting news for Fable fans: it has a release date! February 23 next year is when we'll finally be able to get our hands on it. It was also revealed that Hayley Atwell will be playing its villain, named Isabel. You can check out her monologue in the trailer from the showcase below.
Though February is still a long ways away, preorders are already live for copies across Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. There are a few different editions to choose from as well, which you can read up on in our full preorder guide for Fable.
Preorder Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is another game I was so excited to see more of during PlayStation's State of Play, and even better, we got a release date. It's another one for early 2027, but coming just before Fable on February 12, so there's a little bit of space between the two.
It's also releasing with a few different editions across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Switch 2, which you can learn more about in our full preorder guide for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
Preorder Gears of War: E-Day
Marcus and Dom are back in Gears of War: E-Day, only this time, we're being taken all the way back to Emergence Day. June's Xbox Games Showcase had quite a lot of news to drop around the latest Gears, including a big gameplay trailer during the presentation and the reveal that it's going to be an Xbox console exclusive, alongside releasing for PC on Steam.
If you can't wait to add it to your games library, check out our Gears of War: E-Day preorder guide for more information on what editions are available and how much they cost.
Preorder Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave
Nintendo's June Direct was another one full of exciting announcements, including a new trailer for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave alongside the news of a release date: September 17. Yep, September is going to be quite the packed month. However, if you're looking forward to this one, preorders are now live so you can secure your copy for release.
Our full Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave preorder guide details every edition that's available to preorder on Nintendo Switch 2, so you can pick out the one that catches your eye.
Preorder Halo: Campaign Evolved
The Xbox Games Showcase felt like quite a nostalgic presentation, especially when the new Halo: Campaign Evolved trailer popped up. I'm so excited to play this remake and it's brand new missions, and what's especially nice is its arrival isn't that far off, either. If you, like me, can't wait to jump back into Master Chief’s armored shoes, it's coming out on July 28.
Unlike Gears, Halo: Campaign Evolved will also be releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC. We've got the full breakdown of which editions are up for preorder now and how much they cost in our Halo: Campaign Evolved Preorder guide.
Preorder Onimusha: Way of the Sword
I took a swing at Onimusha: Way of the Sword's demo recently and had such a good time with it. If you've been curious about it but aren't sure what to expect, I'd definitely recommend trying it out. June's State of Play showed off a new trailer for the game as well, which you can see below.
If this one is on your must-play list this year, it's now available to preorder across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 ahead of its release date of September 25. Check out our Onimusha: Way of the Sword preorder guide for more details on what editions are available.
Preorder Persona 4 Revival
June's Xbox Games Showcase dropped even more big news on us: Persona 4 Revival is officially releasing next year on February 18. If this remake has been on your radar, the good news is preorders for it are now live long before its release.
Physical copies are now available to preorder for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and PC players can get a preorder in for it now on Steam. Have a look at our Persona 4 Revival preorder guide for more details on the many editions available for it.
Preorder Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort made an appearance during the June Nintendo Direct, and it looks like it's full of some very fun sporty minigames to play. If it's one you're hoping to have in your Switch 2 game library, the good news is preorders are now available for it before its October 22 release.
If you're curious which retailers have it right now, check out our Nintendo Switch Sports Resort preorder guide for more information.
That's certainly not all of the games up for preorder, though. Below, we've done our best to gather up more games that were featured in this year's summer gaming presentations that are now available to preorder. From Rayman Legends Retold to Star Wars Zero Company and so much more, there's a lot to look forward to.
